"It´s in our DNA"

Two teams, one Stadium, only one winner. Today, at 3 pm the battle starts.

Derby County FC wants to achieve their main goal: be part of the Premiere League and today this dream can come true. All the city is completely dedicated to their big team: shop windows with Derby County decoration, street selling of scarf and flags, children wearing the official t-shirt... The whole city is covered by a black and white layer, all the hearts' supporters are painted of black and white.

Here we have a proof, a real fan speaking about what he feels a few hours before the final match: "It is in our DNA". Nothing more needs to be said, only watch the video and feel what The Rams' follower is feeling right now. Have you felt this before?

Competing with the big screen

"I would like to be there..."

I am sure we have had this sentence in our mind hundreds of times why we were sitting in our sofa watching the triumph of our adored team.

But, we should also ask: "Do I really want to stay there?" I mean, you envy the people who stay in the Stadium, but what about comfort?

Your soft sofa, your hot hamburger and fresh beer next to you, the heating creating a warm environment, your own immaculate toilet looking forward to your arrival...

Supporters want to watch the match in the Stadium with all the advantages that a home can provide, but...

...a Stadium gives you the FEELINGSEMOTIONS and EXPERIENCES that your home can't.

What is coming?

Imagine a Stadium that gives all the needed tools to improve fans' enjoyment. For instance, the original possibility of pre-ordering food or keeping the track of other scores. Both contribute to the supporters' satisfaction and also does it one of the last improving in Stadiums: the existence of Wireless connection. In most of the stadiums, people can't use Internet in their smartphones. They have to leave the Stadium during the break, especially young people, to share in the Social Networks their fantastic photos inside the Stadium. And this time, could be used for advertisements, promotions or some kind of leisure activities.

Some Stadiums in United States have already installed the HD Wireless so spectators can share information and upload pictures whenever they want. For instance, Barclays Center that nowadays is the most advanced in connectivity. And the following will be the outstanding Levis Stadium.

We are looking forward this connectivity in Europe, and the first in improving this factor will be the awe-inspiring Manchester City Stadium

  So, what's next?

WELCOME!

I am not an expert in marketing or in organising events but I am a passionate about the world of sports, and this is my first step on my long career.

After studying a Master in Sports Management and a Post-Graduate Course in Sports Events Management I decided to go further and start my own research and fight for my dream of doing a PhD in the field of sports.

All my life I have been inside the outstanding world of Sport, but it was when I lived in Barcelona that I discovered how much work there is behind a sport company. I carefully studied deeply the internal workings from football leagues to running events. I worked close to Barcelona Football Club and I was impressed by the management of the stadium, especially when I had a meeting with some professionals in that field such as Sir Arnau, FCB Ticketing Manager.

In that moment I discovered my passion: Fans Experience Management. It is awesome, and there is and incredible amount of work, yet to be done, in this area which will involve studying and analising the spectators to make sure they have the best experience in the stadium. As I said, it is AWESOME! And I will reveal the findings on my blog.
